Ingress of water and aggressive chemicals is the main reason responsible for almost all the major physical and chemical degradations of concrete structures and pavements. Ingress of water shortens the lifespan of concrete and results in an annual cost of billions of dollars to the national economies. However, it is proven that this problem can be resolved through the use of an ‘effective’ integral hybrid waterproofing admixture.
We are pleased to let you know that during many years of research at our Chem Concrete AUS-NZ (company comprising a team of globally-renowned professors specialising in concrete technology) we have successfully developed a new generation of concrete waterproofing admixtures called ‘hybrid’ admixture – more reliable, environmentally-friendly, and cost-effective compared to the other methods of waterproofing.
Our waterproofing admixture, called Hybrid Chem Concrete-WP (Patent No. 2023902368), is the result of our heavy investment in our R&D and years of research. This admixture provides a permanently waterproof concrete with significantly improved fresh, mechanical and durability properties. Concrete treated with Hybrid Chem Concrete-WP fulfils the requirements specified in New Zealand, UK, Europe, Australia and USA standards/guidelines for waterproof concrete.
Successful field applications of Hybrid Chem Concrete-WP in several projects along with independent testing results by several ready-mix concrete suppliers, private laboratories/companies, and different universities/academics have proven the exceptional performance of Hybrid Chem Concrete-WP in comparison to traditional methods of waterproofing. Experimental results have also demonstrated that Hybrid Chem Concrete-WP significantly improves the fresh, mechanical, durability and service life of concrete in exposure to seawater, chloride, acid, sulphate, salt, rainwater, freezing-thawing, ASR, efflorescence, static and hydrostatic water pressure, and many other corrosive environments.
